About Us

Colorado Skid Steers was born out of experience. I bought my first used skid steer over 15 years ago.  Since that time I have purchased countless used pieces of equipment.  A few years ago I realized how hard it was for most people to find a quality piece of used equipment.  It seemed like for every nice machine I found, there were usually 10 pieces of junk.  I would go look at machines and they appeared to be ridden hard and put away wet.  I would find leaky hydraulics, nasty air filters, inches of mud and debri in the cab and rusty metal everywhere.   Often, pins and bushings would have more play in them than Michael Jordan in his prime.

Over the years, I assisted many friends and family find quality machines that fit their budget and expectations.  I helped them know what to look for and what to avoid in a given machine.  After acquiring many contacts, sources and skills to find and acquire used machines, I decided to launch Colorado Skid Steers.  I wanted to specifically focus on what i believe to be the most useful, versatile machines available.  I also know these machines extremely well.  I have used them to do a wide variety of jobs.  I have built motocross tracks, removed snow in record breaking blizzards, mowed brush, dug post holes, tilled gardens, removed asphalt and debris, done building site prep, unloaded semi trucks, graded driveways and more!  

I will use my experience to help you find a quality used machine.  Every machine we sell has been hand picked and thoroughly inspected and brought to our standards to ensure you get a machine that is ready to work!
